Vaccinations performed at nursing home

The first Bledsoe County Nursing Home (BCNH resident to get his initial dose of the COVID-19 vaccine was happy to get it over with after months of waiting for it to arrive. That first resident vaccinated is a familiar face in Bledsoe County, former County Executive Billy Frank Wheeler.

Wheeler said the shot, administered by Pharmacist Joel Standefer of Standefer Drug Center, hurt more than he expected, but he has been waiting on the shot for a while and was happy to get it over with.
