Samuel Lee Farmer
Samuel Lee Farmer (Slick), 74, of Hixson, Tennessee passed away on January 26, 2021 after a battle with cancer.
Sam was a Veteran of Vietnam with the United States Army. He was a member of Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 203 in which he proudly served as an Honor Guard for fallen comrades.
He was of the Baptist faith and celebrated with a baptism at Chester Frost Park in the summer of 2020.
He was a Nascar Fan and an avid Deer Hunter whom had an amazing season this year.
He left this earth with our Lord and Savior in his soul, a big buck in the bag with a smile on his face.
Survivors are sons, Rickey (Bridget) Farmer, Tony (Amy) Andrews, Tommy (Vicky) Andrews; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews since he came from a family of 10.
His surviving siblings are Harlan Farmer, Pearl Farmer Champion, Faye Farmer Wright and Carlos Farmer.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Samuel Kass and Ellen “Lawson” Farmer, Jesse and Sarah “Britt” Smith. His parents were Frank and Mattie ”Smith” Farmer; brothers Carl, Dewey, J.R and Tommy Farmer; sisters Thelma Farmer Green, Sarah Ellen Farmer Drake and Shirley Farmer Young.
Visitation is Wednesday, February 3 from 4-7 p.m. and Thursday, February 4 from 9 a.m. to noon at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace, in Chattanooga. Service is to follow in the Coulter Chapel then Interment will be 1:30 p.m. in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Honors to Our Hometown Veteran.
