Tourism committee pushing Bledsoe County
You may have heard a tourism ad for Bledsoe County lately on the radio or on television, which is all part of a recent advertising push promoting the county by Bledsoe County’s Tourism Committee.
The ads, running on Sinclair Broadcasting’s media outlets throughout the region, paint a picture of downtown Pikeville, the beauty of nearby parks like Fall Creek Falls State Park and the Cumberland Trail, and encourage visitors to stop by and shop or eat while taking in the scenic views of the area.
Tourism Committee Chairwoman Ruth Burton said the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development has been extremely active in promoting tourism and resources across the state, but when COVID-19 hit in early spring, tourism took a major hit.
