Louis William “Pap” Edmons, 96 of Pikeville, Tennessee died November 6, 2020 at home with family by his side.
Louis was the founder of the Edmons’ Bluegrass Festival held annually on the Edmons’ farm. He could play any instrument, but the Mandolin was his favorite.
Louis was a Bus Driver for over 22 years with the Bledsoe County School System. He loved spending time with his family and friends, liked playing all sports and hunting anything that moved. Louis will be greatly missed by all.
Preceding Louis in death was his wife, Betty Jean Fields Edmons; parents, Thomas Richard and Flora Pearson Edmons; sisters, Vergia Lou Boynton, Bessie Mae Standefer, and Dorine Edmons.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his sons, Gary (Gerri) Edmons and Larry (Patricia) Edmons; grandchildren, Richard (Amber) Edmons, Andrea (John) Shook, Thomas Edmons; great-grandchildren, Micah, Levi, John Isaac, and Beth Shook, Bryleigh, Beau, and Willow Edmons; nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
A Celebration of Life was held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 10, at Shady Vale Church of God with Bro. Donnie Lawson officiating. Burial followed in the Edmons Memorial Garden.
