Hemp producer sues State Trooper
A Pikeville woman has filed a federal lawsuit against a Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) Trooper, claiming she lost her job due to an arrest and felony charges related to transporting hemp to a local garbage dump last year. Her charges were eventually dismissed.
Rose Hembrook, 66, claims relief in the lawsuit for False Arrest and Malicious Prosecution in violation of her Fourth Amendment rights against THP Trooper Donald Seiber, according to documents filed in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee.
