BCHS volleyball plays first home game tonight

The Bledsoe County High School volleyball team will play their first home game tonight. The Lady Warriors will face Harriman High School with junior varsity starting at 5:00 p.m. and varsity following at 6:00 p.m. Admission is $5.

New safety rules for visiting players, coaching staff, and spectators are in place due to the current coronavirus pandemic.

For spectators wishing to attend tonight’s game, please remember the following:

1. All fans will have a temperature check before entering the game. Anyone with a temperature of 100.4 or above will not be admitted. At contests all coaches, players, team personnel, officials, administrators, and fans must have their temperatures checked before entering the facility.

2. Masks are required of anyone above the age of two unless they have an underlying medical condition.

3. Doors will open one hour before the published starting time of the first match.

4. Bleachers behind the benches and scorer’s table will not be available for seating for the safety of the teams.

5. Social distancing must be maintained at all times. This includes players on the bench, players during time outs, and other people who attend the match.

6. Hand sanitizer and sanitizing wipes will be available at all times.

7. Masks/face coverings may be worn by coaches, players on the bench, and parent workers. That includes scorers, timers, trackers, and line judges.

8. In the bleachers, family groups may sit together but social distancing must be maintained among all other guests.

9. No water fountains will be operational.

10. The gym must be emptied immediately following the conclusion of the matches.
