Betty Joyce Turner Cooper, 82, of Knoxville, Tennessee died Thursday, August 13, 2020 at Rhea County Life Care Center with family by her side.
She was of the Methodist faith. Betty worked for 20-plus years as a reservation agent for Delta Air lines. During this time she became a world-wide traveler along with shopping wherever she went. Betty loved the beach and the great outdoors, being with family and friends, and singing.
Preceding Betty in death was her husband, James Rollie Cooper; parents, Melvin and Maggie Cagle Turner; brothers, Buddy, J. W., Lavaughn, and Gary Turner; brothers-in law, Sonny Johnston and Jim Stephens.
Survivors include her sisters, Etta (Jim-whose death was August 14, 2020) Stephens and Phyllis Johnston; sisters and brothers-in law, Barbara (Bill) Glover and Cindy (Alfred) Terry; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
