She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Taylor Nicole Dawn Pendergrass; father, David Hale; brothers, John David Hale and Billy Hale; sister-in-law, Kathy Hale; grandmother, Bessie Davis; grandfather, Isaac Hale; brother-in-law, Roy Guinn, Jr.; mother-in-law, Thelma Guinn; and father-in-law, Roy Guinn, Sr..

She is survived by her husband, Stanley Guinn of Pikeville; daughter, Carol Lanean Rigsby (Brandon) Pendergrass of Pikeville; sons, Brandon (Alicia) Guinn of Soddy Daisy and Andrew Heath (Lauren) Guinn; grandchildren, Isaac Harrison Allen Pendergrass, Tristan David Taylor Pendergrass, Aubrey Guinn, Lexi Guinn, Sarai Guinn, Ainsley Cooper, Peyton Guinn, Zoe Guinn, Sawyer Guinn and Katelynn Billingsley; mother, Jaynese Hale of Pikeville; siblings, Lois (Douglas) Smith of Pikeville, Kathy (Dennis) Mills of Pikeville, Thomas Hale of Crossville, Lee (Jaxter) Burnett of Crossville, Mary (Levon) Bickford of Pikeville, Pearl Howard of Pikeville and Florence Buckner of Hermitage; brother-in-laws, Wally (Becky) Guinn and Crail (Bobbie) Guinn; sister-in-law, Gwen Guinn; many special nieces and nephews; and several close friends.

Graveside service was held Tuesday, August 4, at 6:00 p.m. at Hale Cemetery with J.D. and Emory Buckner officiating. The burial was in Hale Cemetery.
