William Cornell “Judd” Lawson
William Cornell “Judd” Lawson, 71, of Pikeville, Tennessee died Thursday, July 23, 2020.
William served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, later worked and retired from the City of Pikeville Water Department, and also worked at the Bledsoe County Nursing Home as an orderly. He was a member of Wheeler Addition Church of God.
Judd was a great artist and had a passion for drawing pictures with charcoal, enjoyed woodworking, fishing, loved making jerky and jelly, was a collector of many things, and also enjoyed the company of family and friends.
Preceding William in death was his mother, Alma Geneva Brock Lawson; brother, Landon Lawson; sister, Wilma Robinson.
William will be dearly missed by his daughter, Amanda Smith; son, Ben Smith; sisters, Elizabeth Herd, Ola Marie Sharp; brothers, Winton Lee (Rita) Lawson, Kenny Lawson; grandchildren, Taylor, Austin, Rylan and Charles Nelson; great-grandchild, Sylver; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
A celebration of life was held 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 26, at Wheeler Addition Church of God with Pastor Jeanie Brown and Pastor Johnny L. Herd officiating. Burial was in Pikeville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Wheeler Addition Church of God Building Fund.
