Two die in U.S. 127 crash

A Pikeville man and woman were killed in an accident near the intersection of U.S. Highway 127 North and Nine Mile Crossroad on Tuesday, May 12, according to a report by Tennessee Highway Patrol. 

Michael “Blake” Lee, 50, of Pikeville and Tara Rasdall, 37, of Pikeville both died in the accident. A man out of Georgia driving an 18-wheeler was uninjured in the crash, according to the report.

        I was friends with Tara and Blake…they lived next door when I lived in pikeville..
        We had some good laughs!! Prayers for you!!

    Tara was my oldest niece. I LOVE YOU very much and you will be sadley missed by the entire family. Tara and Blake go rest high on a mountain together and forever. The two of you are now home together please go find Dad tell him we love and miss him too so much. All of you R.I.P. now and forever.
