Complete count for Pikeville-Bledsoe County is important

According to a study by The George Washington University, each missed person in a county’s United States Census survey results in an average of $1,091 less funding received. Census Day 2020 is on April 1.

County Mayor Gregg Ridley said getting a complete count is important when it comes to getting grants and other funding that relies on census data.

“We receive millions in grants each year and anytime someone is not counted it diminishes the amount of money we receive,” Ridley added.
