SRO absenteeism concerns School Board

Members of the Bledsoe County Board of Education heard from several principals regarding School Resource Officers (SROs) being called away from their duties at schools for instances such as court appearances. These concerns were heard during their work session prior to the regular meeting on Monday, February 3.

Director of Schools Jennifer Terry told present Board members Cecil B. Rigsby Elementary School’s SRO has been out sick for the entire school year with no replacement provided by the Bledsoe County Sheriff’s Department.
