Jean Roberta King

Jean Roberta King, 89, of Dayton, Tennessee died Saturday, November 16, 2019 at Life Care of Rhea County.

Jean was a longtime resident of Bledsoe County and a member of Community Baptist Church in Pikeville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther Riggs and Bertha Morgan Riggs; brothers, Buddy Riggs and Jerry Riggs; sisters, ErmaJewell Bales, Mary Johnson, Martha Hawkins and Betty Rohrscheib.

She is survived by her children, Susan Smith of Pikeville, Howard (Vivian) King of Pikeville, Ernest (Ramona) King of Anchorage, Alaska; sisters, Linda Kerley of Pikeville, Barbara (John) Long of Harrison Bay, Tommy Riggs of Pikeville and Roger (Jeannie) Riggs of Dayton; sister-in-law, Leona Riggs; grandchildren, Shon Smith, Shannon (Heath) Smith both of Pikeville, Rodney Stokell of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Justin ( Jennifer) King of Chattanooga and numerous other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Service were held Wednesday, November 20, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Jewell officiating. The family received friends until the time of the service. Interment was at Rigsby Cemetery.
