Historian makes her own history
As her 100th birthday approached earlier this week, Miss Elizabeth Parham Robnett said she doesn’t feel any different. Rather, she said she hates birthdays because they mean “you’re another year older.”
It’s not an understatement to say Miss Robnett, named after her great-grandmother, is the most knowledgeable person in Bledsoe County. Her mind is a library of its own, with one word or last name sparking a search query through her brain of Bledsoe County history.

Miss Robnett has such a keen mind that it always amazed me. I absolutely loved being in her American History class. Even more so is listening to her talk about Bledsoe County history and being amazed at the details she can recite from memory. I hope Miss Elizabeth has many more birthdays. She is a Bledsoe County treasure.
