Cagle re-elected Pikeville Mayor

Pikeville Mayor Philip “Winki” Cagle was re-elected to his position Saturday, December 7, receiving 219 votes to challenger JoAnn Britt’s 126 votes. 

For City Aldermen, the top four vote-getters were incumbents Jane Humble, Dale Wheeler, and Senia Anderson followed by newcomer Jeania Lansing. Challenger Suzanne Schoolfield Sapp did not receive enough votes to be elected.

Elected officials will take office on January 1, per the Pikeville Municipal Charter.

    Not what I wanted to see. Miss Joann and Miss Suzanne I have a feeling voters will regret that you were not elected. Idk why some people don’t open their eyes wider today so I can say voters rethink it. What has CAGLE done for you??? Just my opinion for me I think NOT 1 thing.
