City puts water restrictions in place
The lack of rain for Pikeville is causing City officials to be cautious and ask residents to cut back on usage with a mandatory water restriction after the City had one of its driest Septembers on record.
The restriction applies to lawn and landscape watering and vehicle washing commercially and domestically, according to a notice from Pikeville Mayor Philip Cagle and the Board of Aldermen.
