Richard Leary

Richard Leary, 64, of Pikeville, Tennessee, formerly upstate New York, died Monday, September 23, 2019 at his home.

He attended Mt. Crest Church of God. He owned and operated the Martindale Chief Diner in upstate New York for 24 years, retiring and relocating to Pikeville in 2018.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Leary and Mary Roberto and Lucinda’s mother, Carol Barton. His faithful, four-legged friends, Jesse, Tucker, Skye and Duncan were waiting for him at the Rainbow Bridge.

He is survived by his fiancé, devoted partner and cheerleader, Lucinda Barton; siblings, Diane (Tim) Fine, Vincent Leary, Raymond (Bonnie) Leary and Debbie Leary; nieces and nephews, Sam, Zoe, Amanda and Alicia; many dear friends; and a cat named Cool Kitty.

A memorial service was held Saturday, September 28, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
