Hatcher to bring schools and community together

Students at Bledsoe County High School who may struggle to make it to school consistently will have a new resource to help them with chronic absenteeism that does not revolve around the courts.

Recently, the school system received a grant from Governor Bill Lee’s office to pay for a position at the high school through the Communities in Schools program, which focuses on bringing community resources in the school to help cut down on chronic absenteeism.

The program at the high school will be overseen by Kristin Hatcher, a former teacher at BCHS.
