Dwayne White

Dwayne “Twilight” White, 69, of Pikeville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully with his family at his bedside on July 17, 2019.

He loved listening to classic rock and roll and watching a good western. He was affectionately called “Twilight” by his friends and family.

He was baptized at Church of Christ and served in the U.S. Army. He enlisted as an E-1 and was honorably discharged on May 11, 1971 as an E-3 specialist sharp shooter. Dwayne also drove for the General while enlisted as a radio operator.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Clayta White; sister, Carolyn White; brother, Greg White; and grandparents, Robert and Myrtle Haston and Will and Elizabeth White.

   He is survived by his wife, Roberta; daughter, Shannon Kerbow of Corona, California; son, Shane Willis White; five grandchildren; Cortney (Jeff) Given of Laie, Hawaii, Cody Bishop of Bakersfield, California, Syaira Kerbow of Visalia, California, Sophia Kerbow of Visalia, California; and Alexis Rae Carnae Smith of Corona, California; three great-grandchildren, Grey, Zola and Rose Given, all of Laie, Hawaii; sisters, Sharon Pendergrass and Becky White, both of Pikeville; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins in Pikeville and the surrounding areas.

Graveside services will be held Friday, July 26, at 1:00 p.m. at Wheeler Hill Cemetery with Bro. Alan Haston officiating.
