Crash shuts down U.S. 127 for hours
A non-injury crash on U.S. Highway 127 near Bledsoe County High School left the road closed for over six hours on Wednesday evening, June 12. The drivers were both from out of town, according to Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) Sgt. Alan Bailey.
A box truck struck the southbound side of a concrete bridge and required two large wreckers to lift the truck off the bridge before it could be removed, reported Bledsoe County Rescue Squad First Lieutenant Corey Summers.
A small SUV was also involved, but no additional details were yet available from THP.
