Nelda Jean Turner

Nelda Jean Turner, 84, of Chattanooga and formerly of Pikeville, Tennessee died Thursday, April 4, 2019.

While living in Pikeville, she worked at the Bledsoe Library and the Bledsoe Board of Education.

Nelda cherished her family and friends throughout her life, enjoyed cooking, picnicking, and biking. She was a member of the Church of Christ.    

Preceding her in death were her husband, Paul Turner; parents, Daniel and Mable Sellers Locke; brothers, Carl, Howard, D.W., and Orberly Locke; sister, Sally Jo Cope.

Survivors include her two sons, Philip and Tim Turner, both of Chattanooga; sister, Laverne Ours; grandchildren, Ryan Edward Turner, Dr. Hannah Jean Turner, and Sarah Lee Turner; special friends, Marie Sapp and Tina Brown; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

A graveside service was held 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 8, at Fuston Cemetery in McMinnville with Bro. Dennis Smith officiating.
