Harley “Pete” Smith

Harley “Pete” Smith, 87, of Pikeville, Tennessee, died Wednesday, March 6, 2019.

He attended New Charity Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in the Korean War. He retired from USA Enterprise in Spencer, Tennessee and from Bledsoe County Convenience Recycling.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Etta Johnson Smith; parents, James and Vida Smith; and 16 siblings.

He is survived by his children, Patricia Yvonne Wooden of Pikeville, Cindy “Polly” Smith of Dunlap, Diane (Gary) Bickford of Pikeville, twins, Kenny (Lorie) Smith of Spencer, Keith (Lori) Smith of Pikeville, and Denny (Leonda) Smith of Pikeville; grandchildren, Tonya (Stacy) Turner, James Smith, Tyler Smith (Adam Frazier) and Todd Smith (Chelsea Lee), Samantha (Robbie) Taylor, Justin (Brittany) Smith, McKinsey (Stephen) Blake, Kasondra (Colton) Boring, Kendall Skye Roberts, Eli

Smith and Jalyn and Brandon Owens; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Thursday, March 7, at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Jerry Bradley, Bro. David Rogers and Bro. James Daggett officiating. Burial was in Cagle Cemetery.
