Future of historic Dr. Ross House in question

The Bledsoe County Historical and Genealogical Society was “blindsided” after the fate of the Dr. James A. Ross House and Museum became the topic of a new committee formed at the commission meeting on January 22 to study the feasibility of keeping the historical building.

The house is now a Bledsoe County history and medical museum. The building’s history involves being Pikeville’s second hospital, used until the Pikeville Clinic was built in the late 1940s.
