Property tax rate increases for Pikeville city residents

Property owners within the city limits of Pikeville will be paying an additional 15¢ per $100 of assessed value on their property taxes to meet the demands of the 2018-19 budget that was approved Monday, August 13. The new rate is $1 per $100 of assessed value which Mayor Philip Cagle says is long overdue.
