Doris DeBord

Doris DeBord, 81, of Pikeville, Tennessee died Monday, August 13, 2018 at Bledsoe County Nursing Home.

She was a member of Sequatchie Valley Church of Christ, the Bledsoe County Senior Center, and the Bledsoe County Historical Society. She was a retired teacher of 31 years. She was a graduate of South Fulton High School Class of 1954, U.T. Knoxville and Tennessee Tech.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin DeBord; parents, J.C. and Callie Roberts; and grandson, Horace Lynn Swafford.

She is survived by her daughter, Amanda (Ronnie) Swafford of Pikeville; sons, Dwayne (Debbie) DeBord of Pikeville and Eric (Tonya) DeBord of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Matthew (Shauna) DeBord, Tyler (Haylee) DeBord, Jason (Emily) Swafford, Justin Swafford, Andrew Swafford, Allyson DeBord and Gabby DeBord; great-grandchildren, Colt and Jake DeBord; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 15, at 1:00 p.m. at Sequatchie Valley Church of Christ. Burial was in DeBord

Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to DeBord Cemetery or the Bledsoe County Senior Citizen’s Center.
