Ronald Dean Shoemate

Ronald Dean Shoemate, 75, of Pikeville, Tennessee died February 16, 2018.

He was a veteran serving in the United States Air Force and a member of Mason Lodge #70 F & AM in Mason, Michigan. He worked in the Department of Correction in Michigan and Tennessee for over 30 years. He loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was devoted to his dogs. He loved to work outdoors and enjoyed working in the garden.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Delores Bunch; and brothers, Carl Shoemate and Wayne Shoemate.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Shoemate of Pikeville; children, Donna (Everett) Wyatt of Pikeville,  Phyllis (Dwayne) Anderson of Pikeville, and Ronnie (Linda) Shoemate of Dayton; grandchildren, Kristi Anderson, Marsha Worthington, Kelli Haston, Matt Holloway, and Ashley McSpadden; great-grandchildren, Dylan and Trinity Anderson, Tyler Beauregard, Dewley, Dallas and Daelyn Haston, Bayley McSpadden, Hank and Hadlee Worthington; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 20, at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial was in Humble Cemetery.
