Edward McCoy “Mack” Brown
Edward McCoy Brown, aka “Mack,” 70, of Pikeville died peacefully on November 1, 2016.
Mack as he was known by all was a lifelong farmer, hunter, and fisherman. He enjoyed and lived life to its fullest. He worked most of his life as a building contractor. Mack was of the Baptist faith and was a member and attended First Southern Baptist Church (FSBC) in Pikeville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clinton Paul and Mauvine Brown; and an infant brother, J. Lee Brown.
Left behind to cherish Mack’s memory are his wife of 24 years, Roberta Daschke Brown; children, Paul (Kim) Brown, both of Pikeville, Kim (Chris) Howard of Matthews, North Carolina, Lisa (Rocky) Evans and Laurie Harris (Michael Music), both of Pikeville; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren (plus one on the way); a brother, Richard “Dick” (Judy) Brown of Pikeville; two sisters; Faye Robertson of Crossville, and Doris (Earl) Morgan of Pikeville; several nieces and nephews; and many special friends, especially his “breakfast crew” at Scotties.
A Memorial Service celebrating Mack’s life was held on Saturday, November 5, at 11:00 a.m. at FSBC with Rev. Jim Whitaker and Bro. Albert Roberts officiating.
