Mary Ann Smith Hall

Mary Ann Smith Hall, 89, of Pikeville died Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at Erlanger Bledsoe Hospital.

She was a member of Wheeler Hill Church of Christ. She was a correspondent missionary with over a thousand students.  She was also a Republican and world famous for her chocolate gravy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Monroe Charles Bickford and Nancy Carol Whittenburg Bickford; her first husband, Louis S. Smith; grandson, Steven E. Smith; granddaughter, Jessica Laurel Jolley; step-grandson, Sam Hall; brothers, Chester, Lester, Herman, Fred, Castoe and Clinton Bickford; and sisters, Della Bickford and Iva Smith.

Surviving are her husband, Ira Lee Hall; two daughters, Regina (Ronnie) Reece of Pikeville and Rhonda (Paul) Jolley of Decatur; three sons, Bob E. (Joyce) Smith, Hixson, Larry W. (Pam) Smith, Pikeville, Randy G. (Neena) Smith, Decatur; three step-children, Vickie (Jerry) Hickey, Michael Hall, Steve (Patty) Hall; 10 grandchildren, Gina, Lehan, Angie, Travis, Desiree, Stephanie, Jennifer and Rebecca; six step-grandchildren, Shannah, Amy, Jerry, Daniel, Terri Jane, Shawn and Christine; 20 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; one sister, Lola Belle Smith of Pikeville; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 28, from 9:00-9:00 p.m.

Services will be Friday, July 29, at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Tony Britt and Bro. Paul Cagle officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
