Wilma G. Robinson, of Dayton, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 4, 2016.
Wilma retired from ODJFS following 20 years of service. She was born February 9, 1942 in Pikeville. Wilma was a member of the Black Business Women, a part of A.L. Williams for many years and was a strong advocate of her family history.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Alma Lawson; sons, Clifford and Victor Robinson; daughters, Karen A. Robinson and Shelia (nee, Robinson) Payne and two brothers, Gary and Landon Lawson.
She leaves to cherish her memory: son, Ray I. Robinson, Sr.; daughter, Deborah (nee Robinson) Durham of Dayton; sisters, Ola Sharp and Elizabeth Heard of Dayton, Hazel (Lawson) Nixon, Edwina (Lawson) Johnson of Elyria, Ohio, Lola Lawson, Brenda (Lawson) Harris, Gloria Lawson and Janet (Lawson) Shine of Columbus, Ohio; brothers, William C., Kenneth and Winton Lee Lawson of Tennessee, William E. Lawson of Columbus, Ohio, Walter Lawson and Roy Lawson of Elyria, Ohio; 17 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services were held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 18 at Henson Cemetery, with Reverend Jenie Brown officiating.
