Wayne Kirkland

Wayne Markland, 82 of Spencer, TN., formerly of Dayton, OH., passed away at the Alvin C. York Veterans Hospital on November 30, 2015. He was veteran of the United States Army and served his country during the Korean War.

He was a pattern maker for and retired from General Motors. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; Jonathan and Vada Markland, and a brother; Robert Markland.

Left behind to cherish Wayne’s memory are his wife of 55 years, Georgia Markland, daughter; Wanda Markland, grandchildren; Autumn and Joshua Markland, brothers; Richard (Edna) Markland and Donald (Cynthia) Markland, sister; Sue Geiger, and a sister-in-law; Kathy Markland, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

A Celebration of Wayne’s life will be held graveside at the Chattanooga National Cemetery on Friday December 4, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. EST with full military honors.
