Mark Owings

Mark Leslie Owings, 54, of Pikeville, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2015.

He formerly of Rhea County, was a resident of Bledsoe County for 25 years and was of the Baptist faith. He loved fishing, bowling and arrowhead hunting. He also enjoyed playing and watching soccer.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Howard (Louise) Owings and Chat (Elvira) Walker.

Survivors include his close companion for 25 years, Libby White, of Pikeville; parents Larry (Lena) Owings of Dayton; brother, Mike Owings; sisters, Laura (Rusty) Revis and Lisa (Dirk) Goins; niece, Caylan Goins; nephews, Casey Owings, Kevin and Jacob Revis, Cameron, Kenzie and Krischan Goins, all of Dayton.

His funeral service was November 8 at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Rusty Revis and Rev. Jim Whitaker officiating. Interment is in McClendon Cemetery. Pallbearers were Mike Owings, Casey Owings, Kevin and Jake Revis, Kenzie and Krischan Goins, and Chris White. Honoary pallbearers were Jared and Jason Hixson, Cameron Goins and Steven Marler.
