Lorinda Elser

Lorinda “Rendi” Elser, 43, of Dayton Mountain, passed away Sunday September 20, 2015.

She was born August 15, 1972 in Pikeville and was preceded in death by her sister Sharon Fuson.

Rendi was a graduate of Bledsoe County High School and was employed by Flowers Bakery in Crossville. She was one of the kindest people you would ever meet. She was a hard worker and she was a devoted mother, wife, daughter and friend.

Her heart was as big as the mountain that she had loved. She will be deeply missed by all.

Rendi is survived by her husband of 25 years, Curtis Elser; her son Donald “Duck” Elser, both of Dayton Mountain; step-son Jesse Elser of Chattanooga; her parents, Donald and Flo (Mears) Harvey of Dayton Mountain; one sister Donna Ann Jackson of Pikeville; sisters-in-law Carolyn (Jesse) Sullivan of Dayton, Valerie (Dudley) Waddle of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Cathy (Dewayne) Glandon of Graysville; one brother-in-law Lewis (Cathy) Elser II of Chattanooga; and father-in-law and step-mother-in-law Lewis (Cindy) Elser I of Dayton; along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Rendi were held Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Rev.  Ed Hughes officiating. She was laid to rest, next to her  sister, in Rigsby Cemetery on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m.

The family is being cared for by Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton.
