Arnold Moody

Arnold Lee Moody, 68, of Pikeville, died September 19, 2015.

Arnold served two tours in Vietnam in which he received several medals including three Bronze Stars, two Crosses of Air Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Medal of Gallantry, just to name a few. Arnold served as Post Commander of the VFW and the American Legion. Arnold also worked with the Department of Correction where he started as officer and worked his way to Warden.  

Preceding him in death were his parents, Leonus and Zelpha Wheeler Moody; and sister, Carol.

Left to cherish Arnold’s memories are his son, James William (Denise) Moody, Soddy; grandchildren, Brittany, Bailey, and Kennedy; great-grandson Weston; brothers, Steve, Eddie, and Joseph; sisters, Judy, Linda, and Cathy; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

A Celebration of Life was held September 21 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Barry Basham officiating. Burial followed in Pikeville Cemetery.
