Myrtle Burgess

Myrtle Burgess, 78, of Pikeville, went home to be with the Lord on August 26, 2015 in a Sparta hospital.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Nellie Brewer; two brothers, Hubert and Leslie Brewer.

Myrtle was a devoted member of New Hope Baptist Church.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her family: two daughters, Brenda (Don) Evans, of Pikeville, Barbie Walker, Crossville; one son, Joe (Tina) Burgess, Dayton; four granddaughters, Shawna Walker, Samantha Walker, Melanie (Justin)  Brady, Heather (Dwayne) Reel; one brother, James (Janet) Brewer; and a sister-in-law, Burma Brewer; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

Services were held Friday, August 28 in the funeral home chapel with Brothers Eric Wood, Barry Whitaker, and Roger Pennycuff officiating. Burial was in Beach Cemetery.
