Noil Melvin Nelson
Noil Melvin Nelson, 77, of Pikeville, passed away on April 19, 2015.
He was of the Baptist faith. His favorite hobbies were fishing, playing pool, playing poker, and hunting. He also enjoyed spending time with his kids and his grandchildren. He was a truck driver who enjoyed traveling all across this beautiful country.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lenora Nelson; two sons, Roland Edward and Ricky Devon Nelson; a brother, Talmage “Buddy” Nelson; two sisters, Doris Dunn and Corrine Nelson; and his parents, Roland and Ellie Nelson.
Left behind to cherish Noil’s memory are his children, Donny (Kelly) Nelson, Ronald (Teresa) Nelson, Carol Nelson, all of Pikeville, Patience (Mark) Desmond of San Ann, Florida, Agatha (Barry) Clements of Lacoochee, Florida; brothers, Waylon (Ila) Nelson of Zephyr Hills, Florida, Charles (Anna) Nelson of Lake Penasoffhee, Florida; sisters, Alla Mae (Bobby) Groover of San Antonio, Florida, Rose (Cecil) Jones of Croom-a-Lacoochee, Florida; grandchildren, Kye, Noil, Denise, Jennifer, Jessica, Travis, Edgar, Alicia, Kristen, Joan, Peggy, Amy, Derek, Jacqueline, Kaylea, James, Timothy, Adam, Jennifer, Joshua, and James Jasper; 24 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Funeral services were held April 21 with Pastor Bill Denton officiating. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Gardens, Dade City, Florida.
