Lester “Sonny” Joyner, 57, of Orlando, Florida, passed away on January 25, 2015.
He was a bricklayer by trade. Lester enjoyed working puzzles and fishing. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester Eugene Joyner, Sr. and Margaret Joyner; and a brother. Roosevelt Joyner.
Left behind to cherish Lester’s memory are his sons, Pete Morris, Lester Joyner, and William Joyner, all of Nashville; sisters, Rosa Joyner and Sarah Watkins, both of Nashville; Senora Joyner and Linda (Varlin) Curtis, both of Pikeville; grandchildren, Aiden and Lauren Joyner; special nephews, Carlos Joyner, Denver, Colorado and Joseph Sanchez, Pikeville; special niece, Missy Wattenbarger, Crossville; his devoted friend, Lillie Conner; several other nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends.
A Celebration of Lester’s life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, January 28, at 2:00 p.m. The family will begin receiving friends at 9 a.m. that morning.
