Arthur Lee Evans

Arthur Lee Evans, 74 of Pikeville passed away on October 22, 2014. He was of the Church of God faith. He worked as a steel worker at Wheeling Foundry. His favorite pastimes were spent fishing and watching his grandkids play baseball.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ott and Maudie (Hancock) Evans; three brothers, Johnny, Jimmy, and Carlos Evans, and one sister, Sue Holland.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Maxie Evans; son, James Evans; daughters, Penny (Jeffrey) Johnson, Kim (Joel) Smith, Tammy (David) Cagle; brother, Sammy (Patsy) Evans; sister, Daisy (Hooker) Nail; grandchildren, Tiffany (Joe) Menken, Brandon (Rebecca) Johnson, Ryan Johnson, Brittany Evans, Desiree Evans, Bradley (Amy) Evans, Jacklyn (Darius) Fugate, Chad Cagle, Garrett Cagle, and Katlyn Cagle; great-grandchildren, Makayla Johnson, Evelyn Menken, Caleb Mabey, Drake Fugate, Joanie Evans, and Kyleigh Fugate; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends. 

A Celebration of Arthur Lee’s Life was held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday October 25, with Bro. Doyle Ashburn officiating. Burial was in the Iron Hill Cemetery.
