Ivan Ray Johnson

Ivan Ray Johnson, 70, a lifelong resident of the Lusk community in Pikeville, went to be with the Lord September 29, 2014. He was a member of the Cupbearer Ministry. He also enjoyed camping, meeting with the guys at Pailo Market, and spending time with his grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ivan L. “Doc” and Cecil Johnson. 

Ivan is survived by his best friend and wife of 48 years, Idell Hankins Johnson; daughter, Lynn (Ernest) Stephens; son, Steven Ray Johnson and special friend Shauna Hobbs, all of Dunlap; daughter, Stacie (Jimmy) Smith, Pikeville; six grandchildren: Brandon, Michaela, Lacey and Maggie Johnson, Jason (Rhonda) Smith, Ashley Smith; three great-grandchildren: Caleb, Kimber Smith, Paden Argo; three sisters: Alma (Billy Joe) Smith, Dunlap; Billie (Randall) Bryant, and Rita (Israel) Spaulding, both of Naples, FL; several nieces and nephews. 

Services will be held Friday, October 3 at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Michael Schrum and Bishop Rita Partin officiating. Burial will be in the Collier Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com.

Arrangements were entrusted to Putnam-Reed Funeral Home in Pikeville.
