Maxine Boynton

Maxine Boynton, 90, of Pikeville passed away on September 19, 2014. She attended First Southern Baptist Church. She taught school in Bledsoe County for many years.

Maxine was a devoted mother and grandmother, even to those that weren’t hers.

She was preceded in death by her husband Alden “Runt” Boynton; son, Mike Boynton; grandson, Carter Boynton; great-grandson, Duane Boynton; parents, Winton and Nova Evans; and a brother, Nonda Evans.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her children, Rickey (Jo) Boynton of Murfreesboro and Mary Anne Boynton of Pikeville; grandchildren, David (Gina) Boynton, Robert (Jeanine) Boynton, and Kevin Boynton, all of Pikeville, Jeff (Kristin) Boynton and Steve Boynton, both of Murfreesboro; 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.

A Celebration of Maxine’s Life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday, September 22, at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Albert Roberts officiating. Burial was in the Boynton Cemetery.
