Gordon Maynor

Gordon M. Maynor, 63, of Dayton died Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Rhea Medical Center.

He was a lifelong resident of Rhea County who was of the Church of God faith. Mr. Maynor worked over 30 years in the Heat and Air business. He was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict while serving in the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his father, George Maynor; and grandparents, Oscar and Myrtle Maynor, Tilman and Maggie Vaughn.

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Maynor of Dayton; mother, Joyce Maynor of Dayton; three children, Shane Maynor, Jennifer Stewart and Beth Hawkins, all of Dayton; three step-children, Melissa McCoy, Jeannie Perez and Charlie McCoy, all of Dayton; two sisters, Vickie (Danny) Angel of Union City and FaDonna (Terry) Hickey of Pikeville; brother, Gary (Vera) Maynor of Dayton; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy Keltch, Bobbie Jo Quinois; nine grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Monday, September 22 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Kenneth Bolton officiating. Internment was at Rigsby Cemetery.
