James Edward “Jim” England, Sr., 63 of Pikeville went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 12, 2014.
Jim was a member of First Baptist Church. Jim was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Lee England and Betty Jewell (Jessie) England Spear; and in-laws, Hazel Smith and Mark Smith.
Left behind to cherish Jim’s memory are his wife, Ruth Ann Smith England; sons, John Nathaniel England, Joseph (Laura) England, both of Albany, Kentucky, James Edward (Andrea) England, Jr. of Somerset, Kentucky; daughter, Judith Lyn England Dyer of Albany, Kentucky; grandsons, Brett Nathaniel England, Brennan Michael England, and David Thomas Dyer, Briley Abner England, Benjamin Edward England; granddaughter, Lydia Autumn England; stepfather, Barry Keith Spear of Louisville, Kentucky; sister, Donna Jean (Fred) Henries of Louisville, Kentucky; brother, John Michael England of Louisville, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews; uncle, Donnie (Denora) Jessie and aunt, Doris Kaberle, both of Louisville, Kentucky; several in-laws, and family friends Dorothy Garnes, Dave Erard, and Adriane Jean Snell.
A Celebration of Jim’s life was held in the funeral home chapel on Monday September 15, with Bro. Jimmy Williams officiating.
Arrangements were entrusted to Pikeville Funeral Home in Pikeville.
