Joseph David Sorrow, Sr

Joseph David Sorrow Sr., 72, a resident of Pikeville, passed away on Saturday morning, August 2, 2014. David was born in Griffin, Georgia on April 13, 1942, a son of the late Joe and Bertha Mae Sorrow.

He was an honorably discharge veteran in the United States Navy after faithfully serving his country during the Vietnam War. David was retired pastor and evangelist ministering through the southeast Georgia and Tennessee areas.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gail Sorrow; and several siblings.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory two sons, Joe Sorrow and wife Teresa, and Jimmy Sorrow and his wife Veronica, both of Pikeville; one daughter Kelly Fuller of Cartersville, Georgia; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; two sisters Linda Hand and Mary Helen Pitts of Griffin, Georgia; numerous other extended family members; and a host of special friends.
