Graveside Memorial Services for T. J. Higgenbotham, 82, of Crossville, Tennessee, will be conducted on Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at 3:00 p.m. at the Whittaker Cemetery. Rev. Scott Griner, Elder Larry McDuffee and Jerry Beaty will officiate.
Mr. Higgenbotham passed away on Friday, April 11, 2014, at his residence.
Mr. Higgenbotham was born on November 30, 1931, in Putnam County, Tennessee, to the late Harvey and Mable Masters Higgenbotham.
Mr. Higgenbotham was a member of the Bangham Heights Baptist Church. He was a United States Marine and Korean War Veteran, and was retired from the Tennessee Department of Correction. He was a business man and had owned and operated Town House Restaurant in Cookeville in the early 1960’s. After retirement, he worked with NAPA in Crossville.
He is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Jim Holloway of Pikeville; son, Patrick Higgenbotham and companion, Molly Dishman of Crossville; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Millis Higgenbotham of Cookeville;
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Thompson Higgenbotham.
The family will receive friends at the Whittaker Cemetery in Monterey, Tennessee, on Wednesday, April 16, 2014, from 2:30 p.m. until time of services at 3:00 p.m.
