Donald Eldridge Smith

Donald Eldridge Smith, 81, of the Mt. Crest Community, Pikeville, died Saturday morning, March 15, 2014.

He was a member of Lonewood The Baptist Church. He was a member of the Bricklayers, Masons, and Plasterers International Union of America. 

     Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Eathel and Eleanor Smith; brother Allan B. “Corky” Smith; sister Louise Smith; and son Terry Donnell Smith.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Eva Beach Smith; son Rickey (Roberta) Smith of Pikeville; grandson, Dr. Andrew (Sheri) Smith, Greenwood, South Carolina; and granddaughter, Anna (Chris) Sapp of Crossville; great-granddaughters, Audrey and Emily Smith, and Ivy Sapp; brother Raymond (Betty) Smith; sister Laura Faye Taylor, both of Murfreesboro; sister-in-law, Hazel Smith of Pikeville.  Survivors also include eight nieces and two nephews.

     Service will be Tuesday, March 25 at 11:00 a.m. at Lonewood The Baptist Church with Pastor Cecil VanWinkle and Bro. Danny Lee officiating.  Burial will be in Lonewood Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday and Monday at the church.
