Edward Eugene “Gene” Wheeler
Edward Eugene “Gene” Wheeler, 74, a lifelong resident of Pikeville died peacefully on Tuesday, January 21, 2014, at his home in Vernon, Florida. Through out his life, he owned and operated a construction company along with working as a construction superintendent for various companies.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Louise Cranwell-Wheeler; children Taylor, Eddie, Scott and Sarah Wheeler; seven grandchildren; sisters Lura Lee Shettle, Mary Nell Summers, Betty Word; brother Harold Wheeler; several nieces and nephews, and friends.
Services are Sunday, January 26 at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with burial in Wheeler Hill Cemetery. Visitation is Saturday from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m.
