King Taylor Walling
King Taylor Walling, 73, of Spencer, passed away on November 14, 2013 at the Alvin C. York VA Hospital in Murfreesboro. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Army 1st Calvary Division (Air Mobile).
Taylor was born on May 2, 1940 to the late Alfred and Audie Walling. He was a member of the Church of Christ at Mt. Della.
He was preceded in death by his aforementioned parents; brothers, Archie T. Walling, Ray Walling, and an infant brother; sister, Ela (Judy) Rohn.
Taylor is survived and will be missed by his brothers, Earnest J. (Arlene) Walling of Hanceville, Alabama, and Carroll Walling of Pikeville; sisters, Ada Pearl Wheeler and Vera Hogan, both of Pikeville, and Alberta Kelly of Nashville; sister-in-law; Lois Walling of Spring City; several nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
A Celebration of Taylor’s life was held November 15 graveside at the Walling Cemetery where he was laid to rest.
