Eva C. Roberson
Eva C. Roberson, 93, of Pikeville, died Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at Life Care Center of Rhea County. She was born April 13, 1920 to parents Sam and Josie Swafford. Mrs. Roberson was a member of Rockfort Church of Christ and was a laundress for over 45 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband Archie Roberson; son Charles Roberson; sister Margaret Chavis; brother Coker Swafford; and son-in-law Charles Robinson.
Survivors include daughters Leta Mae Robinson of Dayton and Sarah (Dave) Jennings of Layton, Utah; grandchildren Frankie Robinson, Lebron (Kristin) Robinson, Eva Denise Jennings, and Dave Jennings II; two special grandchildren Tyler Barnes and Vanessa Perisho; seven great-grandchildren; sisters Mabel Thompson of Franklin, North Carolina and Lena Rose Earvin of Hollywood, Alabama; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Services were held October 27 in the funeral home chapel with Minister Steve Brown officiating. Burial was in Pikeville Cemetery.
