Lorene H. Swafford

Lorene H. Swafford, 101, of Pikeville died Saturday, June 22, 2013.

She was a member of the Pikeville United Methodist Church. Lorene was a member of the Pikeville United Methodist Church. She was a retired teacher, member of the Bledsoe County Retired Teachers Association, and was a charter member  of the Home Demonstration Clubs.

She was preceded in death by her husband, L.L. Swafford; and daughter-in-law Flo Swafford.

Survivors include two sons, Leon Swafford and John (Betsy) Swafford, both of Pikeville; five grandsons; six great-grandchildren; sister Gertrude H. Bishop of Elizabethton; several nieces and nephews.

Services were held June 24 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Doyle Ashburn and Rev. Greg Smart officiating. Burial was in Iron Hill Cemetery.
