Jimmy Evans
Jimmy Evans, 69, of Pikeville died on Friday, May 3, 2013.
He was of the Baptist faith. Jimmy enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also liked working on lawn mowers and cutting wood.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Maudie Evans; a daughter, Pamela Denise Evans; a grandson, Christopher Stewart; brothers, Gene Allen Morgan, Charles Evans and Johnny Evans; and sisters, Marlene Knowles and Sue Holland.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his sons, Frankie Evans and James (Becky) Evans, Jr.; daughters, Anna Pugh, Leisa Evans, Jennifer Smith and Tina (Joe) Burgess; 19 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Arthur Lee (Maxie) Evans and Sammy (Patsy) Evans; a sister, Daisy (Hooker) Nail; and his lifelong companion, Glenda Murphy; several nieces and nephews; and many close friends.
A celebration of Jimmy’s life was held in the funeral home chapel on May 7 with Harold Cagle officiating. Burial was in the Bethel Cemetery.
Arrangements were entrusted to Pikeville Funeral Home in Pikeville.
