Jeffrey Lee Gadd, Jr

Jeffrey Lee Gadd, Sr., 60, of Brayton Mountain died April 22, 2013 at his home. He was born on October 11, 1952 in Washington D.C. to John Ray and Elizabeth Bell (Pumphrey) Gadd.

He lived on Brayton Mountain since 1971 and retired from the Department of Correction after 30 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golf. He was a member of Brayton Baptist Church.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Jan (Burnett) Gadd of Brayton Mountain; son, Jeff, Jr. (Lori) Gadd of Birchwood; parents, John Ray and Elizabeth Bell (Pumphrey) Gadd of Brayton Mountain; brothers, John (Marilyn) Gadd and Greg (Linda) Gadd, both of Brayton Mountain; grandchildren, Brody Gadd and Kayla Gadd, both of Birchwood; step-daughter, Karina Welch of Soddy Daisy; two step-sons, Andrew Hickman and Kevin (Heather) Burnette, both of Dayton; six step-granchildren, Lacey Harris and Gavin Bell, both of Soddy Daisy, Aidan and Braidon Hickman, Charlee and Jacob Burnette, all of Dayton; and niece, Ginny Beth Gadd of Brayton.

Funeral services were held were held in the funeral home chapel on April 26 with Rev. Steve James and Rev. Dennis McChargue officiating. He was laid to rest in the Brayton Cemetery on Brayton Mountain.
